Last Tournament For Ronin Lunacy This 2008 Season

Well this weekend, 1st & 2nd November 2008 @ MAPAAC Astaka Petaling Jaya, will be our last tournament of the year/season. It was an interesting year for the team. Especially after we signed with paintball club Ronin and joined with some players from then team Harlequins. Ronin Lunacy are set to play the grand season finale of the MY-NPL 2008 series.
There're a lot of news concerning the team, players and Lunacy's future after this weekend. Some of it's bad and some of it's good it depends. But for now lets hope you guys and girls can make it this weekend to support us.
After 4 legs we've managed to get on the podium 3 times. Our first leg was a flop due to the joint venture thing though but that was all part of the learning process. 10th place, 4th place, 2nd place and another 2nd place. We're hoping to do our best as always this time around in the 5th leg, and most of all, have as much fun as possible. Winning of course is one thing, but to enjoy the sport of paintball is really why we're all here in the first place. I mean look at our team name and you know it's just a bunch of friends who are just crazy off and on the fields. Ah well. 2008 was a good year in division 3. We learnt a lot and did well for a newcomer in the division. 2009 will be intriguing.
Do hope to see everyone there in PJ. You won't be disappointed with our performance. Family, friends, sponsors and our awesome supporters. This is for all of you.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2008
Team Lunacy would like to wish a Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri / Eid Mubarak to all Muslims worldwide. To all friends and family maaf zahir & batin. Have a good holiday and drive safely for those traveling back to their hometowns. You'll definitely see more of team Lunacy back on track training hard on the paintball fields soon enough. Thanks for supporting us if you're visiting site on Hari Raya itself.
Also on this joyful Hari Raya first day, 1st of October 2008, is our teammate Yaz's birthday who turns the lucky number 26. Just for your info, Yaz is our remarkably talented back player who made his paintball debut for team Luncy at the My-Npl Melaka leg 2007 just one year ago. Without a doubt he keeps this team going with his exceptional commanding role of all the PR work and team management. The team would like to wish him the best of luck and well being. Happy Birthday Bro!!!

New Macdev Droid Gold Bolt Upgrade

Below is taken from their website @ http://www.macdev.net/goldbolt.html. Not too sure about the price in Malaysia yet but I'm sure Pro Paintball Shop will have it in stock very soon with a reasonable price seeing how they are our exclusive Macdev Distributor in Malaysia.
"Our designers at MacDev have come up with a new improved Droid bolt. This gold bolt uses optimised air paths for a faster, more efficient shot with less kick, a reworked bump stop to add up to 8x the strength and anticlip tip technology to allow you to shoot more brittle paint.
The gold bolt is aftermarket, so purchase one now from your local MacDev stockist.
The new Droid gold bolt upgrade will give your Droid a boost with:
- improved air efficiency
- improved strength
- smoother action
- anticlip tip technology

Travis Barker & DJ AM in our prayers...

Dunno about you guys but Fade and Yaz are a big fan of drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM. Fade has always been a big fan of Blink 182, and Yaz, who is also a skratch dj in Malaysia by the name of ideaz, has always enjoyed music by DJ AM. We were just shocked when we heard about the plane crash which killed 4 people and critically burnt Travis Barker and DJ AM a few days ago. Team Lunacy's prayers goes out to the both of them all the way from Malaysia.
They're amazing musicians/artistes and would have been sad to see them go ever so suddenly. We hope they pull through and recover as soon as possible. Our prayers also goes out to pilot Sarah Lemmon, co-pilot James Bland, Chris Baker(Travis' Manager) and Charles Still(Bodyguard) as they passed away due to the wreckage.
Note: Thanks to Austin from Skratch.TV who informed us of the news the minute it broke loose on cnn a few days ago.

Macdev Online Store

For those that don't know yet(apparently it's been up for a while but some of us here just missed it...yes Matt it's old...lol) Macdev Paintball Australia have opened up their own e-store online @ http://www.macdev.net/aushop/. All their current products and spare parts are up on the site which is great cos there aren't that many stores online that have spares available for sale in their stores.
As for Malaysian's Macdev has good news. Pro Paintball Shop is officially the distributor for their products now so check out their website or visit their store to order your Macdev goodies. Other than that you can always go through dealers Werdnahol Sportz and Team Ronin as well.

Check out some pics of Fade playing in the 2008 Super 7 Malaysian open with Division 1 team Macdev Ronin @ http://www.residentevilchef.com. You have to search around the site gallery though cos there are tons of photos. Or if you're lazy you could hit up onto the infamous paintball forum pbnation.com, and go to team Ronin's official thread inside the Macdev section @ http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2377991&page=16 where there's the post with all the Ronin pics on that day.
