Please note that it is now going to be held on the new field on top of the pahlawan shopping complex. Dataran Pahlawan is the new spot for our tournament. Just confirmed earlier today from Mr.Wong of the MY-NPL committee.

Team Registration Opens for MY-NPL'08 -Event 4 Malacca

The Malaysian National Paintball League (MY-NPL) & Tactical Action are pleased to announce the opening of team registration for the fourth event of the 2008 MY-NPL. Registration is now open for all Teams. For more information on registration details, please read below.

This is the second visit by MY-NPL to the ground of Dataran Ayer Keroh, Melaka. Special thanks to our city council Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah (MBMB), for a opportunity to bring MY-NPL to Malacca the historical city.

Team Registration:
No over the phone confirmation of registrations. All entries must be paid through online or cheque only. Registration must be submited 5days before the event date. Late entries will not be entertain. Changes in team rosters are allowed but need to send to MY-NPL HQ for Malaysian PaintBall Players' Council (MPPC) approval.

Closing Date: 28th July 2008.

3 on 3 Clash Of The Titans 2008

We appreciate the invitation sent to our team email and we're posting all information of the event here to support our southern paintball friends. As for RONIN LUNACY, we still haven't confirmed our participation at this event. Nonetheless we should have an answer by next week or so. This event looks awesome and we will definitely hold a meeting to discuss on whether we can attend and compete. Of course the standard financial contraints comes into play again but we'll see how things go. Shout outs to team Johor Pirates from us at Lunacy Paintball.

Johor Paintball centre together with RTM Johor is pleased to announce the RTM Invitation – 3 on 3 Clash Of The Titans 2008. This is a division 3+4 event. The event is jointly organized by Johor Paintball Centre and Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) Johor and the details are as follows:-

Date : 29 June 2008 (Sunday)
Time : 8.00 am – 6.00 pm
Venue: Football Field, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) Johor Bahru

Registration fee RM250

Limited to 20 teams only. First come first serve basis.

Additional paintballs sold at RM200/box or RM60/bag

Open Marker: Your choice of either Semi-auto uncapped or ramping capped at 15bps

RULES AND GAME FORMAT

1. 3-Man Capture The Flag, NPPL/Millennium rules will be used.
2. Each team can have maximum 4 players in the roster (3 main players + 1 reserve).
2. Team composition – to keep seed points, teams must maintain at least two (2) original players from their original team roster.
3. 3 minute game times, with ten (10) second pre-game warning.
4. Each team will be guaranteed 8 preliminary games (will be based on number of registered teams)
5. Games will be scored as:
• Eliminations = 6 points each x 3 players – maximum total of 18 points.
• Survivors = 4 points each x 3 players – maximum total of 12 points.
• First Flag Pull = 20 points.
• Flag Hang = 50 points.
6. Maximum points per game = 100 points
7. Top 8 prelims teams move on the Quarter Final.
8. Quarter Final teams will be seeded by the order of their preliminary finish. Brackets will be: Seeds #1, #4, #5 and #8 in one grouping while Seeds #2, #3, #6, #7 in the other grouping.
9. Each Semi Final teams will play best of 3 format with ‘flag hang’, to proceed to the finals.
10. Finals teams will also play best of 3 format with ‘flag hang’.
11. In the event where teams are tied on points after each round, then a game of ‘1 on 1’ between the ‘tied’ teams will be used to decide the qualifiers/winners.
12. Team-ranking points are earned as follows:
• [(1-R) x 200] + 5 = points
• R = (position of the team/number of teams)

Sometimes we wonder why we're doing something in life, but when you get something like this, after all the hard work you put in, it definitely feels worthwhile. Thank you so much to all that have supported us from the days of shooting mechanical markers with jeans and tshirts in tournaments to what our team has got going now. We'll never forget our roots. There's still a lot that we need to learn(seriously) and we aren't gonna act like we know it all either so even negative submissions will always be used positively. Vice Champions of the 3rd Leg MY-NPL 2008

After another crazy paintball weekend at the 3rd round of the MY-NPL tournament in Petaling Jaya...plus a sunday night's team celebration with some dinner and some pool at asia cafe...endless laundry sessions cleaning up our gear in the mornings...we're finally here to post our results...lol....

Ronin Lunacy came out as vice champions. We got 2nd place at the 3rd leg of the MY-NPL 2008 tournament. Some of you may have heard the news already. Some of you may have not. It was a great weekend for us. Finally we achieved something that has been troubling us the past few tournaments which is simply said team chemistry. Not forgetting to mention time management and organization pre and post battles on and off the fields was absolutely fantastic. We rarely have enough man power and are always rushing for no reason but for this tournament we really got ourselves organized. Every game was a tough fight. Mad propz to all the other teams too.

Our roster for this tournament was Fade Rahman(Captain), Amir Omar "Bubu" Anuar(Vice captain), Yaz Rahman, Shawn Khoo & Hakim Abdul Rahman. Matthew "Helios" Pang played for the first 3 games on Saturday but was replaced by Hakim only to avoid fatigue seeing how he has exams on Monday. Glad he helped us out on Saturday as pit crew all throughout after this first 3 games. Victor Low couldn't compete as he had assignments but was nice enough to help out as pit crew. Everyone did a great job on and off the fields.

Well once again we don't have all division placings but here are the division 3 results for the 3rd round of the MY-NPL 2008 season:

2nd: Ronin Lunacy
3rd: Cobra Mercenaries
4th: Raz Legion

Not forgetting to mention the Ronin family holding podium positions in all 3 divisions at this leg. Macdev Ronin 3rd in division one, Ronin Legion 2nd in division two and us Ronin Lunacy in division three. Congratulations Ronins!!!
